How matching works when you have little experience
Job Search compares postings with your skills, projects, internships, degree and location. The maximum experience rule matters most for freshers: set it to zero or one year and postings that ask for far more are skipped, so your review queue is full of roles you can realistically get.
Projects carry the weight that job history does for experienced candidates. "Built a college placement portal in React and Node.js with login, search and an admin dashboard" gives the matcher concrete skills to work with.
Every application waits for your approval
Auto-Apply drafts a resume version, a cover letter and form answers for each qualifying role from facts in your resume and profile. You approve each application before it is submitted, which protects you from sending generic applications that recruiters ignore.
The Apply Assist extension fills forms in your browser but never clicks submit. It leaves salary expectations and legal questions for you to answer.
What freshers should put in their profile
A complete profile means fewer open questions in each draft.
- Degree, college, graduation year and, if asked by employers, your score.
- Two to four projects with the technologies used and what you personally built.
- Internships, with the team and one concrete contribution each.
- Skills you can defend in an interview, not every tool you have heard of.
- Preferred locations, willingness to relocate, and work mode.
- Links to GitHub, a portfolio or certificates you completed.
Job titles and keywords freshers should target
Entry-level titles vary by company. Arjun, a recent computer science graduate, might target Graduate Engineer Trainee, Associate Software Engineer and Junior Developer. Other common titles are Trainee, Analyst Trainee, Junior Data Analyst, Associate Consultant and Management Trainee. Useful keywords include fresher, entry level, graduate, 0 to 1 years and campus. Resume AI tailors each draft to lead with the most relevant project for that posting.
Credit usage
Job Search, Auto-Apply and Resume AI use AI credits. The free plan includes 100 AI credits with no card, which is a good start for a focused fresher search. More credits come with Interview Copilot or Job Support hours at $5 per hour, each with 200 AI credits, and credits never expire.
